For many years I have been
affiliated with the Swedish project "Dream of the good", that with
its stillness- and peace pedagogy wants to create peace and quiet in the
school. The idea is that inner
peace gives outer peace.
My Landart project has developed out of the awareness that
children and young people in our time, grow up in a culture of rapid change and
turbulence, and that they throughout the day get bombarded by external stimula.
This can create imbalances, stress and health problems, as well as problems
with the identity and relationships. In the large perspective the today's
lifestyle leads to over-consumption of resources and global pollution.
In collaboration with
Solfrid Tormondgard-Henriksen, we meetstudents in 9th grade in Drammen, Norway,
with a project called "Who am I " and "Who am I in a larger
context. " Here we introduce art forms and Landart Performance in relation
to life talks.

Experience shows that
students feel there are a lot of demands and stress, and too little time for reflection in the school day. After
a day with us, they say that "we have gotten to know each other in an
entirely new way, we have found out things we did not know about each other, we
had to think about who we are and what we want for the future."
Students ask, ”Why do we
not have more of this in school?” Experience also shows that teachers take
great pleasure in stillness exercises and calm and that they come to see
qualities in the students that
they had not seen before.
