COMMON QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

I want to try “The Dream of the Good” in my school. How do I start? What are the first steps?

The best way to start the process depends on the school situation. If you are the only one in your school who is aware of the techniques, we recommend a scientific lecture on site, as a first step.
If a group of teachers are interested, a theme day for the entire staff could be considered. On theme day everyone gets to try the different techniques and is offered an opportunity of deepening the study of the one that attracts them the most.
Another possibility is to arrange a course in any one of the techniques at your school.  Please contact us so that we can help you make up you a strategy.

I have positive experiences of meditation and massage in the classroom. I would like my colleagues to understand what possibilities these techniques give, but they are too stressed out to stop and listen. What advice could you give me?

Maybe you could invite your colleagues to try one of the techniques that you have used in your classroom. You could do that at a teachers meeting or on a study day. Most people will find that a moment of relaxation or massage has a positive effect. Another possibility is to ask a student to come and tell, or to arrange a course.

“Children and young people live in a world of constant and loud information, flowing in from the surrounding world. And it fills up their inner hard drive. No wonder, that it becomes replete and crashes one day. They are very vulnerable to the modern stress-related ill-health such as depressions, sleeping disorders, etc. They need to learn to be still.”

"Everyone has a core of goodness within that we can touch with our actions and with which we can attain a more loving and open attitude to life.
Rules, group pressures, competition, grades, performance anxiety, puberty, sexuality, split families and stress create a huge need for their opposites in the form of stillness, reflecting attentive presence, fellowship in movement and peaceful touch.
One could say that there are four entrances to the core where love, compassion and peace reign and that you can't make outer peace with other people without this inner peace with yourself.
The path is practice and I tried in my teaching and mentorship to give the student group brief moments of such a practice."

Kjell Olsson, high school teacher, Stockholm
