The Weaving of life
The Dream of the good is a modern network organization - or organism.
It has developed in the meetings between people who know that - yes, we can help our children and grandchildren and create peace and quiet in school so that they will be able to relax and find their inner strength.
The inspiration and feeling - we can - springs forth from within us where our great resources are. I have met young people who came up to me after a lecture and said: "Is it true? Do we have a treasure within us? Why has nobody told us that before! It is so important, we should talk about it every day in school, and we have never talked about it!"
The network organization is a very modern and ancient phenomenon. It grows organically in the same way as an embryo, a rose, and an oak.
Cell adds to cell in a mysterious, intelligent design, which it takes time and experience to learn to trust. I have thought much about our inner power and how to draw from it. When I visited my son in the U.S a little more than a year ago, Barack Obama was in the midst of the Democrats´ primary campaign. We were up at night watching on television how he in his speeches aroused some mysterious soul force in the audience. Even the CNN reporters beamed.
He said the same thing then as now. "It will be tough. We must all get together, all are needed if we are to reverse rudder. But yes - we can. We can!"
Maybe - we can - is the magic word.
Our country is full of sad mothers and fathers, grandparents, to say nothing of the sad and anxiety ridden children. Must it be so? Must we, the mothers, fathers and grandparents, stand passively and see our children and grandchildren suffer! The children are sad for a variety of reasons. They are not sufficiently thin, not beautiful enough, their clothes are not of the latest fashion, and they are not smart enough. The list goes on. And usually, it consists of things that are far beyond our adult realms, in an alien and incomprehensible foreign land.
But yes, we can help. We meet; we join forces and help each other.
Individuals from different professions, with different skills.
Together we are both wise and strong, we have the power to change the social patterns and structures that we ourselves have created.
The Dream of the good is a living proof that it is possible. We have come a long way. We know that short times of peace and quiet during the school day work wonders in students of all ages. It has been confirmed time and again, by research and many years of experience at the grassroots level in the kindergartens and schools.
Today we take a leap into the world with our simple model. Please check with our network and contribute what you can. It may be to convey the contact with a municipality or school, to support the network with your encouragement, to contribute with knowledge and skills - or financial means.
